Lake Zone pond creation

Had a wander down to the ponds at the northern end of the lakeside in the Lake Zone at Universal Studios UK today for a closer look. They’re right by the public footpath, so I couldn’t resist getting up close — even sent the drone up for a proper nosy from above! 🪶🌿

You could fish them, but there’s no fish in there yet — so you’d be wasting your time. What they have added, though, are plenty of plants in the water, and what looks like hessian sacks with plants poking out of them — probably to help new vegetation take root. There are likely water plants growing under the surface too.

Really nice to see Universal putting effort (and money) into creating a little wildlife sanctuary before construction gets underway. Feels good seeing nature getting a head start before the building begins. 🦆✨
