Coverage

What Project Universal covers

The publication concentrates on subjects that help explain the project and its effect on the surrounding area.

Planning and construction

Applications, approvals, enabling works, visible site change and major project milestones.

Transport and access

Roadworks, rail proposals, access arrangements and other relevant local transport changes.

People and place

Jobs, nearby communities, public information and the wider local context of the development.

Method

How the reporting is produced

Reporting draws on the strongest source reasonably available for each claim. A page should allow readers to understand not only what is being reported, but why it is considered reliable.

Evidence first

Sources may include government and council publications, planning records, consultation material, company statements, maps and direct site observation.

Careful attribution

Externally supplied claims are attributed. First-hand observation describes what was seen and does not, by itself, prove why an activity occurred.

Fact and analysis

Confirmed information is separated from Project Universal's interpretation. Rumour or speculation must be identified as unconfirmed.

Meaningful updates

Publication dates are not changed to make old reporting appear new. An updated date is used when a substantive editorial change has been made.

Transparency

Independent and unofficial

Project Universal is not affiliated with, authorised by or speaking for Universal Studios, Universal Destinations & Experiences, Comcast, NBCUniversal, a government body, council, developer or transport organisation covered by the site.

Third-party names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to organisations and projects are descriptive and do not imply endorsement. Any advertising, sponsorship or commercial relationship relevant to a piece of content should be identified; it does not determine editorial conclusions.

Accountability

Questions, evidence and corrections

Readers can question a factual claim, submit relevant first-hand material or request a correction through the contact form. Please identify the article and disputed passage and provide supporting evidence so the original material can be reviewed fairly.
