Possible Badger or Fox Set Relocation Near Universal Studios UK?

Published On: November 2, 2025By

I went past the Universal Studios UK site today and decided to put the drone up for a quick look — and spotted something pretty interesting. It looks like galvanized chain link fencing is being laid across what seems to be an old badger or fox set near the concrete slab area.

Now, this isn’t just a random bit of groundwork. We know that a man-made badger set has already been built further out in the fields, in an area that’s not expected to be used during construction. So it looks like this new fencing could be part of the process of safely closing off the old set and ensuring that wildlife has already been relocated to a secure, purpose-built habitat.

If that’s the case — and all signs point to it — then it’s actually a really positive step. It shows that before major construction begins, environmental and wildlife measures are being taken seriously. These kinds of actions help protect local species, maintain the balance of the surrounding ecosystem, and make sure development goes ahead in a more responsible and sustainable way.

It’s easy to overlook this sort of groundwork, but it’s a great example of the behind-the-scenes environmental work that often happens quietly before the big machinery rolls in.
