Cookie Information

This page explains how Project Universal uses cookies and similar technologies, including the conditions under which Google Analytics may be enabled. It is written for UK and EU visitors and should be read alongside the site's privacy and legal information.

How Cookies Are Used

Project Universal uses one category of strictly necessary preference storage and, where you actively consent, one category of optional analytics cookies. Optional analytics is off by default and should not be activated before consent is given.

Cookie Categories

Category Purpose Provider Legal Basis Default State
Strictly necessary preference cookie Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics cookies so the site can respect your choice. Project Universal Necessary for managing the consent preference you requested Active only when you make a cookie choice
Analytics cookies Measures site usage, page views, and basic visitor interactions to help improve the website. Google Analytics Consent Off until you click Accept Analytics

Google Analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, this site may load Google Analytics 4 with the measurement ID G-CNCRGL0BC0. Google may place analytics cookies or use similar technologies to measure how visitors use the site, such as page visits, approximate device and browser information, and general engagement patterns.

Project Universal is not using Google Analytics for advertising personalisation on this site. Analytics is configured only after consent, and ad personalisation signals are set to off in the current implementation.

Google acts as a third-party provider for these analytics services. Depending on how Google processes analytics data, personal data may be processed on servers outside the UK or EEA. If you need more information, you should also review Google's own privacy and data policies.

Your Choice

Optional analytics cookies are off by default. Visitors can choose to accept or reject analytics cookies from the banner, and no analytics should load until acceptance has been recorded.

Rejecting analytics should not prevent access to the main public content of the site. You can also change your choice later by using the cookie settings control.

Retention and Review

The site's own cookie preference is currently stored for approximately six months so that your choice can be respected without prompting on every visit. If the site's use of cookies changes, visitors should be asked for fresh consent where legally required.

Managing Preferences

You can clear stored website preferences at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may cause the cookie notice to appear again on your next visit if optional analytics is enabled.

You can also use the button below to reset your choice on this site and reopen the cookie banner.

Important Compliance Note

This page and the current banner are designed to reflect key UK PECR, UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and Google consent expectations for a simple analytics setup. However, compliance also depends on the full live deployment, any other scripts or plugins added to the site, how data is processed in practice, and whether future features introduce additional cookies or personal data uses.

For stronger legal protection, especially if the site expands, uses ads, embeds, Meta pixels, YouTube embeds, remarketing, or other third-party tags, you should obtain a solicitor or specialist privacy review and consider using a dedicated consent management platform.
