Galliford Try vehicles have been seen around the area where the future transport hub and major road improvements are expected at the Universal Studios UK site, appearing around the same time traffic management measures were installed.
The contractor is experienced in roads, bridges and major infrastructure. One recent project cited is the Carlisle Southern Link Road, which included bridge construction, new roads, large earthworks, junction upgrades and cycle crossings.
Given the location of the vehicles and the company’s specialist background, they would be a logical choice for any flyover, major access roads or transport hub structures — but nothing has been officially confirmed.
It’s not the headline-grabbing part of the scheme, but these sorts of infrastructure works would need to come first; the presence of Galliford Try on site is a development worth watching as ground preparations continue.
