Work has now started on the new watercourse along the Manor Road side of the Core Zone, directly opposite the Lake Zone.

The existing watercourse currently cuts diagonally across the Core Zone, so plans show it being diverted around the edge of the development instead.

The section being dug now will eventually run towards Manor Road, pass underneath the road through a new culvert and connect into the lake on the other side.

This will not be just a big drainage ditch. The plans show a much more natural-looking watercourse, with landscaping and new habitat created around it.

It may not look hugely exciting at first glance, but it is permanent resort infrastructure actually starting to appear on the ground.

Bit by bit, the plans are becoming reality.
