A few close-up aerial shots from the archaeological survey area in the Core Zone give a better look at some of the trenches and excavation features currently being investigated.

It's always fascinating to zoom in and see the sheer number of archaeological test pits and trenches spread across the site. Every one of these has the potential to reveal another small piece of Bedford's history before construction of the Universal United Kingdom Resort moves into its next phase.

These photographs were taken well after the archaeologists had finished for the day, so there are no people on site in any of the images.
