Broadmead Road to reopen on 17th July; temporary lights at Woburn Road junction 20th–24th July

New three‑way traffic lights at the Broadmead Road/Woburn Road junction will be switched on when the road reopens, but extra temporary lights will be in place for a week of finishing works.

From 17th July, Broadmead Road is due to reopen, and with it the new three-way traffic lights at the Broadmead Road/Woburn Road junction will be switched on for the first time.

There is one more thing to be aware of though…

Between Monday 20th and Friday 24th July, from 9:30am until 4:00pm, there will also be additional temporary traffic lights in or around the junction while further works take place.

It’s great to see Broadmead Road finally reopening after months of disruption, even if there are still a few finishing touches to complete. Hopefully, once these final works are out of the way, journeys through the area will start becoming a little more straightforward again.

If you use this route regularly, it’s worth keeping these dates in mind and allowing a little extra time during the day.
