Universal has confirmed that Broadmead Road will temporarily reopen from Friday 3rd July to allow easier access for the Stewartby 100 Years Celebration taking place on Saturday 4th July at the Dave Law Sports Ground.

The event runs from 12pm until 10pm and includes a fairground, food and drink, stalls, live entertainment and a DJ, and a sponsored fireworks display. Entry to the celebration is free.

Once the celebrations are over, Broadmead Road will close again from Sunday 5th July until Friday 17th July while Universal completes the remaining improvement and resurfacing works. During that period, the usual diversion via Green Lane will once again be in place.

It’s great to see the road reopening, even if only temporarily, to help the local community celebrate such a significant milestone. Congratulations to everyone in Stewartby on reaching 100 years!

I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic day, and I’m really looking forward to popping along and joining in the celebrations. Hopefully I’ll see some of you there!
