“Flumper Haul Road” gets to work as dumpers shift soil across the Universal Studios UK site

A steady stream of dirt is moving from the Lake Zone to the Core Zone near Broadmead Road, where dozers and rollers are spreading and compacting it into level ground.

Flumper Haul Road is officially open for business!

The Flumpers are making full use of the new haul road at Universal Studios UK, carrying load after load of dirt from the Lake Zone across to the far end of the Core Zone, over towards Broadmead Road.

Once it gets there, the dozers and rollers take over, spreading it out, compacting it and gradually turning the area into a nice flat surface.

There’s a LOT of dirt being moved at the moment, and you can really see the landscape changing as they work their way across the site.

And yes… I’m sticking with Flumper Haul Road.

Flumpers = a flock of dumpers.

It’s a theme park… we have to have a bit of fun with the names!
