Flumpers keep the haul road busy as tonnes of dirt move into the Core Zone

Hundreds of tonnes are being shifted from the Lake Zone to the Broadmead Farm end, where it’s being spread and compacted and the ground is starting to change.

It’s been seriously busy across the Core Zone this week!

The Flumpers have barely stopped, running backwards and forwards along the haul road all day, moving hundreds of tonnes of dirt from the Lake Zone over to the Broadmead Farm end of the Core Zone.

It’s basically been a constant stream of them. Load up, trundle across the site, tip it, head back and do it all over again… and again… and again!

Once the dirt arrives, it’s being spread out and compacted, and you can really see the ground starting to change at this end of the site.

There’s still an enormous amount of dirt to move, but they’re certainly getting through it!

Flumpers doing what Flumpers do!
