Manor Road junction opens as topsoil move to the Lake Zone gets closer

With the new tarmac junction in place, attention turns to removing the old brick wall and widening the entrance so dumpers can start hauling soil from the Core Zone across Manor Road.

The new tarmac junction on Manor Road is now in place, but that's just the beginning. The plan is for this to become the route for a temporary haul road, allowing dumpers to carry all the topsoil that's been collected in the Core Zone across to the Lake Zone for storage.

If you swipe to the last photo, you can see just how much soil is already waiting to be moved. Those piles have been building up over the last few weeks and they'll soon be heading across Manor Road.

Before that can happen though, there's one thing in the way... the old brick wall at the entrance to the concrete slab site. I'd expect that to come down this week so the entrance can be widened, giving the dumpers enough room to move safely between the two areas.

It's not the most glamorous part of building a theme park, but it's another important piece of the puzzle. Once this route is open, we'll likely start seeing a lot more activity moving between the Core Zone and the Lake Zone.
