Heads up if you use Ampthill Road this week.
If you’re travelling past the future Wixams railway station between 6th and 10th July, you may come across temporary two-way traffic lights while Network Rail brings in plant and machinery for preliminary works.
The lights will only be used when needed, with delays expected to be around 15 minutes at a time. There will also be temporary speed restrictions and site access signage in place while the works continue.
It’s another small but encouraging sign that things are continuing to move forward for Wixams station, which will eventually play a key role in serving the Universal United Kingdom Resort and the surrounding area.
If you’re commuting through the area this week, it might be worth allowing yourself a few extra minutes just in case.
Have you been through there yet?
