New planning documents confirm that the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) for the demolition of Vine Cottages has now been officially endorsed, clearing the way for the works to begin as part of the Universal UK project.
According to the documents, the demolition is expected to take around 2–3 weeks to complete.
For anyone living nearby, the approved working hours are planned to be:
• Monday–Friday: 7:00am – 7:00pm
• Saturday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
• No Sunday or Bank Holiday working is planned unless special approval is granted.
The first hour of each working day (7:00am–8:00am) will mainly be used for deliveries, unloading equipment and site preparation before the main demolition activities begin. The documents also state that no night-time working is currently anticipated.
The plans include measures to manage dust, noise and vibration, along with arrangements for notifying nearby residents and handling any concerns during the works.
