New Universal Studios UK planning document made public today!

A new government planning document has been made publicly available today (6 August) relating to Condition 7 – Habitat Location Plan, adding another piece to the ever-growing planning puzzle for the Universal United Kingdom Resort in Bedford.

Although the document confirms that the Habitat Location Plan (Revision 01) was formally endorsed on 23 April 2026 by officials acting on behalf of the Secretary of State, it has only now been released to the public, giving us another glimpse into the progress being made behind the scenes.

Habitat plans are all about identifying, protecting and managing areas for wildlife as development progresses. They're an important part of ensuring the resort is built alongside the environmental commitments set out in the planning approval.

This isn't the sort of document that announces a new attraction or major construction milestone, but it does show that the planning process is continuing to move forward. Every approved and published planning condition is another step towards making the resort a reality.

Do you like seeing these behind-the-scenes planning documents, or would you rather I focus mainly on the visible construction taking place on site?
