These new topsoil phasing plans are VERY interesting…
On the face of it, these drawings are showing the stripping, movement and stockpiling of topsoil across the Universal United Kingdom Resort site.
But look a little closer at the Core Zone…
One feature immediately jumps out: the lagoon.
The lagoon is clearly labelled and defined within the Core Zone, and around it we can see a series of other lines and boundaries dividing up different areas of the site.
And that raises an interesting question…
Could some of these lines actually be giving us an early glimpse of the future theme park layout?
We need to be careful here because this is NOT a confirmed theme park layout plan. These boundaries could relate purely to earthworks, drainage, archaeology, environmental constraints or construction phasing.
However, the fact that the lagoon — something we already expect to form part of the developed Core Zone — appears amongst these other defined areas certainly makes those lines much more interesting.
If they do correspond with elements of the eventual park layout, we could potentially be looking at some of the first hints of how individual areas of the park will be divided up around the lagoon.
There’s definitely a lot more to study on this one.
